I am extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with a group of amazingly talented and special students, the IB students. Since the IBO has zero tolerance for cheating and plagiarism. I also have a great chance to implement the highest ethic standards and be a role model for them to follow.
I am also the IB Counselor; my office is always open for all IB students and teachers. I meet with students once a month as a group and individually every three weeks, I try to make it clear that I am here for them. For the teachers, I meet with them individually once a month, and have two IB –Staff meetings per month.
All IB students perform 150 CAS hours (Creativity, Action and Service), I am also their CAS Coordinator, I try to give them new activities to fulfill this requirement, learn for themselves and have fun at the same time, we have participated in Habitat for Humanity, ADA (Amigos Del Aprendizaje), UN Model, also take tours to the rapids, rappel, canopy, etc. I try to participate in as many events as I can; I always make full arrangements so everything is set up accordingly.
