Yes, we have a special discount for:

  • Three siblings family:
    • A 30% discount on the enrollment fee and 30% installments for the third child.

At Blue Valley School, limited language proficiency in either Spanish or English is not a barrier to admission. We have a comprehensive language acquisition program to support our students with diverse language needs, providing dedicated assistance to ensure they can overcome any language challenges.

The school offers a wide range of enriching extracurricular after-school activities, elective options, and clubs, including a sports academy, fine arts and technology programs, and personal development opportunities in various fields. No, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) for high school is not mandatory. It is an optional pathway for 11th and 12th Grade that students can join if they are interested, leading to globally recognized qualifications that open doors to the best universities worldwide. Early Learning School:

  • Half-Day Program: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7:15 am to 12:15 am
  • Full-Day Program: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7:15 am to 2:15 pm

Preparatory to 12th Grade:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7:15 am to 2:15 pm
  • Homeroom period from 6:45 am - 7:15am

Wednesday, all grades (Early Learning School to 12th Grade)

  • From 7:15 am to 12:45 pm 
  • Homeroom period from 7:00 am - 7:15 am

To suit different family needs, there are two calendars available at our school: the Costa Rican school calendar, which runs from February to December, and the international calendar, which runs from July to June. To learn more about these options, please get in touch with our friendly team.

Your child can obtain up to three diplomas when they graduate from BVS:

  • A Bachillerato Diploma is obtained by passing the government (Ministerio de Educación Pública) mandated exams at the end of eleventh grade. 
  • An American High School Diploma is obtained by fulfilling Blue Valley School’s requirements at the end of twelfth grade and taking a one-year U.S. history course as an overload at any level from 9th to 12th grade.
  • An IB Diploma is obtained after four semesters in this international program (2 years), which has specific requirements. Final IBDP exams are taken at the end of one semester in twelfth grade.
