EARLY LEARNING SCHOOL
The principles of the Montessori philosophy and the fundamental principles of Blue Valley School, are sustained on a profound respect for the child and the conviction that he will develop to his full potential.
PHILOSOPHY
In our preschool, students aged three and a half to five and a half years old begin their formal education with the Montessori method. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that children learn best by doing. The Reggio Emilia approach complements our curriculum by giving greater importance to group relationships, considering children as competent beings with their own ideas and theories.
AREAS OF STUDY
Our Montessori preschool addresses four fundamental areas: practical life, sensorial, language, and mathematics in which the child selects the activities and works on them at his or her own pace
FULL DAY PROGRAM
Full Day Program
For Montessori children (3 to 5 1/2 years old) who want an extended-day program, Full Day Program offers a broad spectrum of opportunities to grow and strengthen social skills.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Twice a week, Montessori students participate in an assembly where they salute the Costa Rican flag and listen to the National Anthem. They also celebrate birthdays and sing songs in Spanish and English.
