I entered Blue Valley in 9th grade, coming from a school where I had been since kindergarten, so the change was not easy. I transferred because my parents felt I needed a different environment that supported my mental health and offered a better teaching approach. Adjusting was challenging at first, especially since everyone already knew each other from a young age. However, I met my best friends here, and I will always be grateful for that. Academically, my grades improved after transferring, and I realized that the teaching method at BVS fit me much better than at my previous school. My teachers became my biggest supporters and some of the first adults who truly believed in me.

Additionally, I had always wanted to study in the United States, and compared to my former school, I knew that my opportunities doubled at BVS. Overall, I feel that BVS helped me grow both as a person and as a student, guiding me toward my long-term goals.

Reflecting on my journey at school means reflecting on my entire life. This school has been everything I’ve known since I was a child, presenting me with challenges, meaningful experiences, and many factors that have helped me build my identity and shape who I am today. Academic experiences and challenges I’ve encountered include learning how to socialize as a young child, building relationships, developing leadership skills, and more. My ability to connect and collaborate with others at this school has deeply shaped me: I’ve become outspoken, cooperative, and a strong leader because of it.

Challenges such as managing my time, meeting deadlines, and learning a new language have allowed me to grow and become the person I am today. The experiences and obstacles I’ve faced at this school have had a significant impact on my personal growth, providing me with values and skills that I know will help me in life. Given these factors and my journey, I am confident that I am ready and capable of succeeding at IE Business School in Madrid.
