Blue Valley is a private, bilingual, international school that offers a rigorous American curriculum, yet is rooted in local culture and includes a strong Spanish program.
We constantly expose our students to the outside world, taking them out of school or bringing experts to address them. This opens other perspectives for them and prepares them for the globalized world that will be theirs. Last Monday’s activity is best described by a student in her reflection:
"People like Mauricio Artiñano, the senior planning officer of the United Nations mission in Colombia, have the courage and passion to help countries at war restore peace and tranquility. A few days ago, he came to Blue Valley and 5A-1 and 5A-2 students had the fortunate experience of meeting and discussing with him what needs to be done to achieve this goal. We learned that although it is difficult to restore peace, it is not impossible. Thank you, Mauricio, for coming to Blue Valley to share your time and knowledge.” Alexa Kruse – 5A-1
